We are delighted to be bringing back to the Annan Gallery for her second Solo Exhibition with us, one of the most talented contemporary painters working today, Alison McWhirter.
After the success of our 2021 exhibition with Alison, ‘Meditations on Colour,’ Alison has continued to develop her mastery of colour-blending and texture to produce a collection of work primarily focussing on plant forms - with Alison continuing to learn about and work with different types of wild flower whilst also challenging herself to abstract the painted surface even further.
As a result, Alison has produced a simply outstanding selection of thoughtful, colourful and uplifting work in her instantly recognisable contemporary style.
We are extremely fortunate as a gallery to be working with Alison on this scale and hosting her works in a major Solo Exhibition.
We would therefore strongly encourage you to visit the Annan Gallery in Glasgow and enjoy this collection of work in person and see the emotions and energy captured in each work and above all, immerse yourself in a gallery full of paintings of colour, energy, vibrancy and passion.
